Like most of my paintings, these have between three and five layers of paint on them. Between the layers I add a variety of media including collage, texture, graphite and oil pastel.

 

I am striving to paint the essence of an object blending realism and abstractions creating artwork to move people emotionally as it is an emotional process for me.  I believe that most of the things I create have come from another place, as my hands seems to move independent of thought. Spiritually moving.

Using nature as inspiration and working within the realm of my imagination, no reference photos are used. A fleeting memory of what it is to be outside, in nature. Connecting to something greater than myself I aim to create something dreamlike, a walk into the here,now and beyond what you can see and touch.
