This was inspired by the many eagles I see flying on the coast, perched in the treetops. In this painting I used bursts of quinacrone orange with a calming pale green on a flat black background. The eagle is staring very intensely as I worked to portrait the emotion and instinct as he stalks his prey, taking it all into consideration. It is both lively, commanding and would make a great addition to your home or office.
